  I have an unhealthy habit of eating ho-ho's; buying and eating them pretty much every single day. I noticed a big difference between the ho-ho's from this 7-11 and everywhere else. I mean, we are talking about a huge drop in quality. This time I could tell just by looking at it through the wrapper that it was old. Dull looking, not fresh and shiny like it should be, pieces of chocolate coating had crumbled off. I peeped at the back and sure enough, it was past the expiration date. No problem, right? Taken them off the shelf, send them back to the distributor, write them off, throw them away, give them to the food bank IDK. I don't know what the proper operating procedure would be, and I don't begin to assume what it SHOULD be. But I do know what it SHOULDNT be, which is what they did: cover up the already-done-been-past-expiration-date with a new sticker with the date of January 31st on it. I was so shocked when I went to purchase some ho-hos and I found the same expired ones back on the shelf after I had brought it to their attention. I showed the cashier the expired label underneath the new sticker and he became increasingly unfriendly. I don't know if they ever took them off the shelf. There are plenty of other convenient stores. TLDR: watch out for expired products!
